Current Missions

CIC has a strong record of supporting missionaries in a variety of mission locations. Following is a list of missionaries and their current locations.

Overseas Missions secretary, Reino Havukainen (Queensland)

 

Toivo & Liisi Kivimäki (Japan/Queensland) They are stationed in Brisbane with Toivo ministering throughout the year in a number of Asian countries including Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

They are pioneering a church plant in Port Moresby. Ulla has also commenced Primary School through Correspondece for a number of local students. It is hoped to expand the Primary School to cater for more children in the near future. They have three children, Benjamin, Henna, Jeremy.

 

Kari & Marja-Leena Lehelmä (ACT/ Russia) Kari and Marja are the founders of Kids Outreach International. Kari is an outreach co-ordinator. KOI is building relationships and sharing the good news in camps of more than 500 Russians, mainly youth. This is a unique opportunity to live out practical christianity.

 

Kyösti & Liisa Ovaskainen (Papua New Guinea) Kyösti is a principal of Bulolo Pentecostal Bible School. His main responsibilities being: school development, teaching and administration. Liisa is involved in women's ministry. Their children are Anne, Ulla-Maija and Sanna, they are all married and living in Australia.

 

Juhani & Liisa Rytkönen (Russia) They are involved in language studies, ministering in churches in surrounding areas and training church leaders.

 

Sami & Seija Tuovinen (Special Assignment)

 

Arto Tynkkynen (Russia) "Tentmaker" Arto was asked to come, work and live with some Russians. This was as a result of being on outreach, helping others through his profession and through sharing his love and friendship with them.
